The information we collect from you depends on how you use our Site, App, and Services. To take full advantage of our Services, you must register with us. The type of personal information that we collect from you in order to register depends on how you use the Services.
Mentees. To register as a mentee, we collect your name, email address, your location, your username and password, and your personal interests and issues you are seeking advice on.
Mentors. To register as a mentor, we collect your name, email address, location, your username and password, information about your education, work experience and skills, and your personal interests.
Users may also upload an account profile picture, post and respond to questions and discussion threads, and share content and comment on blogs. In addition, if you make a purchase, we will collect your payment information, including your payment card information and your billing address. If you contact us, we will collect your contact information and information about your communication.
You also may log into the Services through your social networking accounts, including Facebook. If you do this, we obtain information from these sites as follows:
Facebook. If you log into the Services using Facebook, you must enter your Facebook email address and password. We will ask that you grant us permission to: (i) access and collect your Facebook basic information which includes your name, email address, education, job background, and location. If you allow us to have access to this information, then we will have access to this information even if you have chosen not to make that information public on Facebook.
We store the information that we receive from Facebook with other information that we collect from you or receive about you. Any third-party social networking site controls the information it collects from you. For information about how social networks may use and disclose your information, including any information you make public, please consult their respective privacy policies. We have no control over how any third party site uses or discloses the personal information it collects about you.
We automatically collect the following information about your use of our Services through cookies, web beacons, and other technologies, including technologies designed for mobile applications: your domain name; your browser type and operating system; web pages you view; links you click; your IP address; the length of time you visit our Site and or use our Services; and the referring URL, or the webpage that led you to our Site. We may share your information, including personal information, as follows:
Registered Users. Your user name and any information that you post to our Services, including, without limitation, your interests, questions, reviews, comments, and text will be available to, and searchable by, registered users of the Services. If you are a registered mentor, your name and skills will be visible to all users of the Services.
Affiliates. We may disclose the information we collect from you to our affiliates or subsidiaries; however, if we do so, their use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information will be subject to this Policy.
Service Providers. We may disclose the information we collect from you to third party vendors, service providers, contractors or agents who perform functions on our behalf.
Business Transfers. If we are or may be acquired by or merged with another company, if any of our assets are transferred to another company, or as part of a bankruptcy proceeding, we may transfer the information we have collected from you to the other company.
In Response to Legal Process. We also may disclose the information we collect from you in order to comply with the law, a judicial proceeding, court order, or other legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena.
